Little Chiller

Our first attempt to sit up like a big boy...or just like dad, the ultimate chiller. Sorry about the red-eyes...Mommy needs to learn how to work her very expensive camera that should just automatically correct this without me asking for it to but that would just be too much to ask so sorry for complaining.

First visit to Grandma and Grandpa's

Grandma seems to be the only one who can get Luke to love his pacifier...we wish we had skills like this...
Luke is lovin' Aunt Jen...

Never wake a sleeping baby...

Luke has now entered the normal baby phase of "nothing you can do will make me stop fussing...you are powerless against my supersonic, eardrum busting cries". So, since desperation is the mother of invention, I've come to find that the sling DOES work. Like gangbusters, actually...puts him right to sleep! However, once my back is on the verge of snapping, it is time to put him down...here is where sling goes from carrier to nap sack. I am a genius.

Mr. Squirm

This is the pre-"feed me now" scream that is getting more intense by the day. Today, Luke weighs in at 10lbs 7oz. We hesitate to think that this is an actual weight since I got home and changed his loaded diaper that could very well have weighed 5 pounds...man can this boy fill a diaper...

Don't Fence Me In

After 9 1/2 months of being crammed in the tightest of spaces, Luke IS NOT having any part of of this sling. In fact, he refuses to be swaddled or "tucked in" with a blanket...he must have all four limbs stretched to their limit in Superman flight mode...

Surrender to Pooh

He can fight me no longer...I bring out the Pooh and he simply throws his hands up and crashes out in hopes that once he wakes up he has pooped his way out of Pooh prison...

Stimulation or overstimulation?

Apparently babies can only see red, black and white, so we figured we would give Luke something to look at other than our googly-eyed faces all day. Plus, staring at your child for hours on end can be a bit exhausting, so this gives us a nice break...doesn't he just look riveted?

Off to the pediatrician...

While there is no doubt that Luke is large and in charge, he is comically dwarfed by his carseat...

Cutie-saurus

Although I had been warned a-plenty about the dangers of buying too many clothes before the baby's arrival, I couldn't pass us the little dino outfit. Regardless, my mom taught me well ("you buy it, you wear it") and I found a way to squeeze our 9 pound baby into an 8 pound baby outfit...poor Luke...
